I'm not feeling very well today so I just painted my nails with China Glaze TTYL. This went on well with 2 coats and it dried really quickly too! I hate that I slept on these for so long. I love them though.
I took this first picture outside but it was kinda rainy. Boo!!!
Came in the house to snap the other two.

Y'all have a good day or what's left of it.
I love my holos!

Happy Superbowl Sunday!
Saturday, February 6, 2010
No, it's not Sunday yet but eh, lol!
I decided to do a football manicure for the Saints in honor of a few people including my girl, Holly. She is a Saints fan through and through.
WHO DAT!?!?!

Just a little China Glaze GR8( I love those holos!!!) and Liquid Leather. I added a few rhinestones because I couldn't find the Fleur-de-lis decals and I sure as heck didn't feel like painting any on. I'm lazy.
Have a good one!

Sickly Sweet
Thursday, February 4, 2010
Let me just say that I do not like Valentine's Day. I think its a farce, an excuse of a holiday thrown on us by Hallmark. LOL I hate it. Didn't like it as a child and I don't like it now. When the husband says, "Babe, what do you want for Valentine's day?", my answer is usually "nothing." I just don't get into that stuff but I decided to do one overly sweet manicure for it this year and get it over with. LOL
I had an extra bottle of China Glaze Rainbow so I put some very fine pink and red glitter in there to mix it up. That was my base. I french tipped with a Color Club red(forgot the name) and I believe its from that Mystique collection. A follow up with some random pink and red hearts from Konad and a few rhinestones and you have this monstrosity.

I really need to find my lightbox.

Bright Lights, Big Color
Wednesday, February 3, 2010
Hello, my lovelies!
I decided to go bright today with O.P.I.'s Bright Lights, Big Color. How could I go all this time in this blog and not even use where I actually got my name from! For shame! This one was a three coater of course and it's retty sheer because I can still see my smile line. I love the brushes on the O.P.I polishes. They are very wide and I can get almost a full coat in one swipe! Love!

This color puts a smile on my face and I love that especially on a dreary, foggy day like today.

You Don't Know Jacques
Monday, February 1, 2010
It was time to get rid of Zim. I went for something a little more subdued and pulled out the OPI You Don't Know Jacques. It took three coats to get full coverage which is not unusual for a cream with me. It's a very lovely shade and I should use it more often but I'm trying to get through all of my untried polishes.

Of course, I sat and stared at it for like ten minutes and decided it needed some "oomph"(just a little bit) so I pulled out my konad plates and chose m60 and the China Glaze OMG.
Eh! It'll do until I have time to do something else.

GIR! Unleash the monkey!
Saturday, January 30, 2010
Watched too many cartoons in my day. I broke two of my nails cleaning today so I had to re-do the paint job and I decided to go bright. That quote comes from one of my favorites, Invader Zim. Man, I loved that cartoon.
I used China Glaze Tree Hugger and Flying Dragon for this one and more of the husband's acrylic gaming paint. That stuff rocks.
Here's some closeups of my ring fingers:
Zim, himself!
and then I just did his name on the other.
Just a little something fun for me. I'll probably do something cutesy and Valentine-like next just to get it over with, LOL.

He Rune'd it!!!
Friday, January 29, 2010
LOL, that was so very corny. I apologize. I really do. This morning as I sat and had my daily dose of Sam and Dean on Supernatural, I decided to change my nails. Ladies, never ask your husband what to do if you like having girlie nails. He says, "Oh you should do runes! Make your nails look like stones." *sigh*
I did it. This is just China Glaze Recycle as a base with some CG Liquid Leather and Black Diamond sponged on. The runes are painted with some of his acrylic gaming paint.

I figure if I let him have one a week that he'll be fine with me buying polish all the time, LOL
